Are You Missing Out?

Are You Missing Out?
Have you ever chosen something that did not appear entirely appealing or particularly special and then discovered that it was far better than you expected? You would not have realized any of the value or joy of it unless you partook of it yourself. Prior to that moment, you were simply missing out.
Salvation is like that. There is so much to enjoy, but unless a believer enters into it, he or she is missing out. To be a Christian has so much more to it than just being saved from hell, that is the eternal judgment that faces all who refuse or ignore God’s offer of salvation through His beloved Son. His offer is available because of the finished work of the Lord Jesus on the cross of Calvary (Jn. 19:30), where He bore the sins of all who put their trust in Him (1 Pet. 2:24). The evidence that His work satisfied God has been declared in the resurrection and exaltation of Christ (1 Jn. 4:10; Rom. 6:4; Phil. 2:8-11).
If you have not accepted God’s offer of salvation, won’t you stop and do so now? The Bible says, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31 NKJV). We also read: “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Rom. 10:9-10). We can tell you how..
For all who have done so, Psalm 34:8 provides wise instruction: “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” Discover the many ways in which there is joy in His presence as He keeps His promise: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Mt. 28:20). God has also “blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” (Eph. 1:3). Open God’s Word alone and with others, and “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Pet. 3:18). Then you will enjoy the richness of salvation!
