Are you going to HEAVEN?

What do I have to do?

☐ Be as good as I can be ☐ Obey my parents ☐ Go to church ☐ Get baptized ☐ Do good works for others

None of these things can get you into heaven. Does this surprise you?

God says that all of us have done some bad things called sins: “All have sinned” (Romans 3:23). The punishment for our sins is death: “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).

But God loves you so much that His Son Jesus died to take the punishment for your sins: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish (in hell) but have everlasting life (in heaven)” (John 3:16).

There is no way you can earn your way to heaven. Trying your very best cannot make you good enough. You must believe that Jesus died for your sins.

Only God can forgive your sins. That is His gift of love to you. “You have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works” (Ephesians 2:8,9).

Would you like to be ready for heaven? If so, talk to God something like this:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I know you died to take away my sins. I am trusting You to forgive my sins and make me ready for heaven. I know You will help me to live for You. Thank You!”

After you trust Jesus as your Savior, you will want to obey His Word, the Bible. This will make both Him and you happy!
