What Do They Say?

What do some people say?
• There is no God.
• God is mysterious and cannot be known by anyone.
• God exists but does not care about us or anything we do.
• God and Mother Nature are one and the same.
• There are many gods.
• They themselves are gods.

Sometimes their opinions contradict one another. Sometimes they are confusing.

What does God say?
To find out, we must look in the Bible—the only place God tells us about Himself. There we discover that:
• God can do all things, and nothing is too hard for Him (Genesis 18:14).
• God is everywhere, and no one can possibly hide from Him (Jeremiah 23:24).
• God is eternal, having no beginning and no end (Psalm 90:2; Hebrews 7:3).
• God is unchanging, both in His being and in His Word (Malachi 3:6; James 1:17–18).
• God is holy and cannot tolerate sin (Leviticus 20:26; 1 Peter 1:15–16).
• God knows all things, including all our thoughts, ways, and words (Psalm 139:1–4).
• God is love in His very nature (1 John 4:8) and in His desire for us:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

What do you say?
Are you going to believe men or God?

“He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36).

You must choose. Will it be the contradictory opinions of men, or the sure Word of God?
