If you want to make a real and lasting change in your life,
you need to get to know Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God.
We’re not talking about religion, which is the practice of a particular system or denomination.
True Christianity is more than religion.
It’s a relationship with the One who said,
“I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6); and,
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved” (John 10:9).
You need a relationship with Him.
When Christ was crucified, He endured unbelievable suffering.
He could have ordered 50,000 angels to protect Him,
but instead He suffered for you because He loved you and wanted you with Him in heaven.
He died to pay the penalty for your sins. The Bible says,
“The LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:6).
Has anyone else ever shown such love to lost sinners?
God declares that He
“so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
You need this love.
But there is more. Christ did not stay in the tomb after He died.
When He paid for your sins through death, God honored Him
by raising Him from the dead.
The death and resurrection of Jesus are marvellous, life-giving events for all who believe.
Suppose someone offers to go to prison as payment for your debts.
When he is finally released, you can be sure your debt is completely paid.
You are justified – free from all claims against you.
Christ did this for you.
He paid your sin-debt and God raised Him from His tomb
to show that He was completely satisfied with that payment (Romans 4:25).
Will you accept Christ as your Savior?
The Bible states,
“As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12).
Have you taken advantage of this amazing offer?
If you say you don’t need Christ, you are like a dying man refusing a doctor,
or a drowning man refusing rescue. The results are fatal!
You cannot get to heaven without being saved from your sins.
God’s Word warns,
“Those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord … shall be punished with everlasting destruction” (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9).
Don’t let this happen to you!
Christianity is more than a religion.
It is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
You can begin this relationship by confessing your sins and telling Him
you accept Him as your Savior. Will you do this right now?
