Where’s the Truth …

… about Jesus Christ?

Who is He? What was He like? What is His role in the world today? So many people are confused about these questions.
Misinformation is coming from several sources.
We can pick up all kinds of wrong ideas about Jesus Christ unless we go to the one true source.

WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

Was He just another man who lived almost 2000 years ago?

Long before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah described Him this way:

“His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”
(Isaiah 9:6 NKJV).

Thomas, the disciple of Christ who once doubted, eventually referred to Him as:

“My Lord and my God!”
(John 20:28).

And God Himself announced Him this way:

“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”
(Matthew 17:5).

✨ WHAT WAS HE LIKE?

To know what Christ was really like, we must read the unchanging Word of God, the Bible –
the only reliable source of information about Him.

There we find that His life combined perfect holiness with genuine compassion for lost souls.
He healed and fed great numbers of people.
He forgave their sins.
And His life included dying on the cross for our sins.

Mark’s Gospel records the astonishment of some observers of Christ:

“He has done all things well.
He makes even the deaf to hear and the mute to speak”
(Mark 7:37).

Peter, when confronted with the choice of deserting Christ, confidently stated:

“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life …
You are the Christ, the Son of the living God”
(John 6:68-69).

The Bible leaves no doubt that Jesus Christ was sinless.
When Jesus threw out the challenge:

“Which of you convicts Me of sin?”
none could prove that He ever sinned (John 8:46).

The Bible also says that the One who came to take away our sins was Himself sinless (1 John 3:5).

WHAT IS HIS ROLE TODAY?

The apostle John tells us that:

“The Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world”
(1 John 4:14).

Today, Jesus Christ continues to save all who turn to Him for forgiveness.
His promise to those who trust Him is:

“I will never leave you nor forsake you”
(Hebrews 13:5).

Some people actually prefer an imperfect Christ.
They say it is easier to identify with Him if He is just like the rest of us.
But every one of us, if honest, finds himself in the deep pit of sin.

If Christ is in that same pit, then how can He possibly get us out?
We need someone on top to save us.

King David experienced such a rescue and joyfully exclaimed that the Lord:

“brought him out of a horrible pit, set his feet upon a rock, and established his steps”
(Psalm 40:2).

❤️ DO YOU KNOW HIM?

There is no substitute for the biblical Christ.
Peter, the apostle, said He alone saves:

“There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”
(Acts 4:12).

If you do not know Jesus personally as your Savior, we urge you to begin reading His Word today.
Start with the Gospels and you will discover that they are:

“the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes”
(Romans 1:16).
